FINAL MASTERPIECE RESEARCH PHASE ONE

I am fascinated by the human behavior. The way people respond to certain situations and possibilities as to why they respond to these certain situations.

Here's what I found:

http://sciencenetlinks.com/lessons/lying/

This is a lesson on a specific topic, lying. As soon as I found this page I wanted to know more about it. Lying is a great example of how humans respond to certain situations by lying and why they lie. I find this source reliable because this source is based of science books on psychology of lying. These books include, Charles V Ford's Lies! Lies! Lies!: The Psychology of Deceit and Alder Vrij's Detecting Lies and Deceit: The Psychology of Lying and the Implications for Professional Practice (John Wiely and Sons, 2000) I find these books credible because of these people's relationship and practice to psychology.

One of the big topics in human behavior are disorders. They are such an important topic because of high high disorders cases have gone from 2011. They talk about what exactly is a disorder and how it affects people. They also talk/compare cases from back then and how taught us a thing or two about it. I find this source reliable because it was a free unit lesson plan specifally for highschool psychology teachers. I think this fits so perfectly with me and I learned a lot from it.

https://www.apa.org/ed/precollege/topss/lessons/stress-health.pdf

Stress plays a big factor in many people's life and it can damage our mental health. This relates to human behavior because it talks about how people stress, and what that can look like. It teaches us how to cope with it and how we can help others whether that be just listening to them and know what to say to prevent them from feeling bad about stressing. I find this source credible because instead of saying dot com at the end it says org dot com. It's different and I can see that it is an organization and it is published by a group. It also is an free unit lesson plan for high school teachers who teach psychology.

https://www.apa.org/ed/precollege/topss/lessons/memory.pdf

I have a photographic memory. It's one of the things that makes unique and I like to be proud of that and am interested about memories and why some people have better memories than others. It states this unit helps students understand encoding of memory, storage memory, and retrieval of the memory. It gives you the deal on memory and all the information there is to know about memory. This relates to the human behavior because memory can affect the way we see people and how we respond to them because of certain memories we've kept.

https://ed.ted.com/lessons/what-causes-headaches-dan-kwartler

When I first saw What Causes Headaches? I knew I had to watch the video. This connects both my key instrests of, psyhcology and nutrition. Psychology is how we feel, human behavior is connected to headaches because it can affect how we respond to people and it can makes us feel like we don't want to talk to anybody at the moment. Nutrition is connected to headaches because it's what we (don't) eat/drink that causes headaches and how nutrition can play a big role in causing headaches or avoiding them. This source is credible because everyone knows about TedEd. I may not know the speaker nor what he does (Dan Kwartler) but I know TedEd has bought some professional speakers to speak such as Dr. Preston, himself.

https://ed.ted.com/lessons/how-sugar-affects-the-brain-nicole-avena

This video is another Ted talk and it talks about sugar and the impact it might have on you. I've always been fasincated by the side affects to sugar. I love sugar but I want to know the side-affects to eating this delicous creation and want to be informed so i can provide information with the people I love so I can then inform them. By learning how sugar might affect the brain we can see that this relates to both my nutrioton and human behavior key intrest. The speaker, Nichole Avena is an author, a research neuroscientist and a pioneer in the field of food addiction. Avena has pusblished many books talking about obesity, what to eat when you are pregnant or have a baby and what to feed the baby or toddler.
